Embark on the medieval trail of the Eagles' Nests, which follows a route laid down by medieval knights and kings. Majestic castles and mystical legends are yours to discover within this breathtaking landscape. Hunt out the dozens of castles that are dotted around the region's uplands, an area of beautiful forest-covered hills, cliffs, valleys and imposing limestone formations.

The name, Eagles’0 Nest, comes from the trail's ruined castles and fortresses that are constructed atop peaks in the region's mountainous landscape. As you discover this stunning landscape, hear fascinating and eerie tales of those who dwelled in the region's former royal palaces.

Uncover the ruined gothic castle in the village of Ojców, which stands sentry over the picturesque Pr_dnik Valley. The castle was built under the reign of Casimir III the Great, in the second half of the 14th century. Peek into the spine-chilling ruins of Ogrodzieniec, the largest castle on the highest peak of the Polish Jura Mountains, Castle Hill.
