if you’ve got a night flight home but don’t want to spend your last day waiting around with nothing to do after you have checked out of your room, then here’s your chance to get the most from the last hours of your holiday. After a morning check out from your hotel, you’ll drive to the riverside town of Dalyan, calling at a carpet co-operative en-route. Find out about this local handicraft and discover why it was Aladdin’s preferred choice of transport. Next up, you’ll board a river-boat and cruise along the reed lined river to the famous mud baths. Used since ancient times, these natural pools are said to have healing properties and help you retain your youthful good looks.

Slap on the mud, bake a little in the sun and test out the claims yourself. Even the rich and famous have tried out Dalyan’s muddy claims, Cleopatra, Princess Caroline and even Sting have all enhanced their youthful glow with a dip in the mud. After lunch by the riverside, enjoy views over the Lycian ‘house’ tombs cut into cliffs above the river. Next-up is Iztuzu beach, a protected nesting ground for Caretta-caretta, or loggerhead turtles, here you’ll have some time to sunbathe and swim. Lastly, it’s on to a nearby hotel in Dalyan. Here you get the chance to relax, take a shower, change into your travelling clothes and enjoy dinner before your short transfer to the airport. And you have your room right up until the coach picks you up!
