The Elephant Safari Park in Taro is without a doubt a must for visitors to Bali. This safari park, which exceeds the international standards for animal care, spreads out over 3.5 hectares of tropical vegetation and shelters up to thirty Sumatran elephants. Experience a once is a lifetime feeling as you interact, feed, ride, learn and play with Sumatran elephants, one of the most endangered species today.Stroll on an elephant´s back as you make your way through this unique natural environment towards a lake where you will be privileged to wash and even hand bathe these impressive animals.
You will get a chance to visit educational shows and displays where these bright animals will paint using their trunks. The park has an information centre with a graphical presentation on the history of elephants, a comprehensive museum with over 1000 pieces of elephant memorabilia and the skeleton of the only mammoth in South East Asia thought to be 15000 years old.
A buffet lunch is provided in the 200 seat restaurant with beautiful views over the lake. Those who would like to take a souvenir home to remind them of their wonderful day can choose from a vast array of elephant related items at the multi-level gift shop.
