Triana is one the most colourful, idiosyncratic neighbourhoods in Seville. Located on an island between two branches of the River Guadalquivir this colourful quarter has developed its own characteristic culture, its people considering themselves different in character from the rest of sevillanos. The area has a traditional pottery and tile industry and a vibrant flamenco culture Experience the magic and charm of its people, art, food, colours and aromas.

This guided walking tour will start with a visit to the Chapel of El Cachorro, seat of the Holy Week brotherhood of the same name. We'll also visit a corral, tenements organized around a patio with a central fountain, the occupants living in individual rooms that open to the communal patio. These traditional buildings are now protected and we'll visit some in the bustling Alfereria and Castilla streets. Near the Central Market you can observe the ruins of the Castle of San Jorge, once the seat of the Tribunal of the Spanish Inquisition in the city. We'll also visit the Church of the Our Lady of the O, built in the Baroque style between 1697 and 1702.

Then we'll go for a stroll along Calle Betis, a popular promenade running along the waterfront with stunning panoramic views across to Seville, packed with bars, restaurants and nightclubs. We'll cross back into Seville by the Puente de Triana built in the mid nineteenth century. Don't miss the small Moorish Revival Chapel on the West Bank of the Guadalquivir.
