Program details

Admire the sprawling beauty of Australian landscapes from atop one of the continent’s most stunning hills, those of Adelaide. This mellow, half day tour invites you to take in the diverse wonders of Australia at a relaxed pace. Later you head from the hills to an old German settlement, to top this day off with some highly enlightening history.

To begin your tour, make sure you leave all of your stress and worries back in the hotel – you won’t be needing them here. As you are picked up in the afternoon by the comfortable bus, leave the big city behind and drive off towards the breathtaking magnificence of the Adelaide Hills.

Enjoy a drive down Adelaide’s cultural precinct, known as North Terrace, as you make your way to the best vantage point on Mount Lofty Summit. This is the highest peak of the Adelaide range and it guarantees some unforgettable views of the land far below, from the city to the coastline. It is the best moment to take out your camera and immortalise this moment of natural splendour.

After that, wind your way through a series of villages, namely Crafers, Stirling, Aldgate and Bridgewater – here you will see Bridgewater Mill’s water wheel. Arrive at Hahndorf, the oldest German settlement in Adelaide. Enjoy a leisurely afternoon exploring the main street, tasting the local produce and discovering the local arts and crafts. Wrap the day up with a delightful cup of afternoon tea or even a traditional German beer tasting; a heavenly experience.
