Delve into the awe-inspiring wilderness that lies beyond the Gold Coast. Known as the Hinterlands, these territories behind the shoreline contain some of Australia’s most impressive natural landscapes such as Tamborine Mountain National Park and Lamington National Park, both of which you will get to know well on this comprehensive tour. It is the ideal trip if you don’t want to feel rushed by the timetable but want to see as much as you can in a day.
Experience a thrilling four wheel drive over an otherwise impenetrable rainforest path, explore secluded hillside trails and lose yourself in the beauty of natural jungles and waterfalls surrounded by astounding sights.
Alongside your knowledgeable guide, learn all the interesting histories behind every site that you visit. Enjoy a leisurely stroll through a rainforest 15 metres above the ground. At O’Reilly’s treetop canopy walk they have strung a long, winding path that takes you through the forest canopies – see the rainforest from the vantage point of a bird.
Throughout the day you will also be invited to take part in a variety of fun activities, from feeding the many exotic birds that dot the Australian sky, to learning how to handle Australia’s most notorious weapons: the whip and the boomerang. The trip also includes morning tea, a hearty barbecue lunch and a delightful tasting of the very finest wines to be distilled from the Queensland vineyards. This trip isn’t only one of discovery – it’s also a treat for your senses!
