Boasting the largest man-made dolphin habitat in the world, Ocean World is a must-see attraction for everyone visiting the Dominican Republic. In the Dolphin Swim programme you will have the opportunity to swim and play with beautiful Atlantic bottlenose dolphins as well as learning about dolphin behaviour and discovering how Ocean World Adventure Park trainers use hand signals and positive reinforcement to communicate with them. The Royal Swim programme offers a unique opportunity to participate in a 60-minute swimming session with two graceful bottlenose dolphins.



Taking the experience one step further, visitors encounter, kiss, hug, pet and feed dolphins in deep water for half an hour and afterwards the session continues in the beach area for an additional half an hour; this means that you get to interact with dolphins one-on-one in their own environment.



Participants also have the opportunity to combine the interactive swim programmes with The Sea Lion Encounter or with the Shark Sharks Show & Sea Lion Encounter. The first is a fun programme designed to let you meet, touch, feed, pet and play with the clown of the sea: the Patagonian sea lion. And in the second you’ll meet the sharks.



The Trainer for a Day program will let you have a true dolphin trainer's experience, from playing animal chef to interacting with dolphins during a regular programme with regular visitors! This program will give our budding trainer a unique insight into the extraordinarily caring relationships that our staff members build up with the animals at Ocean World.

Requirements
Minimum Age: 6 years old.
Minimum age for the Trainer for a day activity: 13 years.
Minimum height: 115cm (45 inches) to participate in the program, 122cm (48 inches) to use the waterslides.
It is not suitable for pregnant women, those who use wheelchairs nor for those with heart or back problems due to the physical effort required.
Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Children rate from 6 to 12 years old.
Do not wear jewellery.
You need to be able to swim to take part in this activity.
You are not permitted to wear glasses or sunglasses, or enter with a camera into the water.
Electric mobility equipment are not allowed inside the Ocean World.


Recommendations
Wear sunglasses and do not forget your swimsuit, sandals, hat, towel and a change of clothes.
