Come and discover the subterranean world of the island of Ibiza in this tour of the spooky caves of Can Marça. These caves are situated in a protected area on cliffs overlooking the sea at a height of 12/14 metres with great views out over the Med and the nearby islands of Murada and Ferradura. The caves themselves are 100,000 years old, consisting of a maze of limestone galleries containing amazing fossilised rock formations including massive stalagmites and stalactites, underground lakes with fabulous scenery and deep dripping galleries where time seems to have stood still.

The caves were previously used by smugglers who used them for hiding their contraband and you can still the place they used for hoisting their wares up from the sea. If you look closely you will also be able to the daubs of red or black paint they used to signpost escape routes in cases of flight or emergency.

The highlight of the visit has to be the light show centred around a replica of the fossilised waterfall that was removed when the caves were first opened to the public.



Open times: Summertime ( May 1st - October 31st) Daily visits from 10.30am to 1.30pm (every 30 mins approx) & from 2.30pm to 8pm (every 30 mins approx). Wintertime (from November 1st - April 30th). Daily visits from 11am - 5.30pm (every 45 mins approx).
Languages: English, German and Spanish.
Others: Not feasible for persons with limited mobility.
