Program details

Come face to face with the passion of flamenco in the city that lives and breathes this genre more than any other. Experience live performances from top contemporary singers and dancers in the best venues in Seville. This is a Spanish dance extravaganza that will set your pulses racing as you are blown away by the fire and vibrancy of this pulsating dance form.

The tour takes in different venues throughout the year, visiting the tablao with the best line-up. Ideally for this type of inspiring music, all the venues are intimate, with capacities for no more than 60.

This is an authentic and ‘pure’ flamenco show. Pure means that no amps are used, with all music performed ‘unplugged’ – even a traditional caja (wooden box) used to tap out sounds is eschewed. The only percussions you hear are be the tapping of heels on the floorboards and the rhythmic handclapped palmas of the troupe. Goosebumps and a tingle down your spine are all but guaranteed.

Some of the artistes who feature are female dancers of the calibre of Manuela Barrios (silver medallist in the 2010 national championships), Sofia Castro, Clara Gutierrez and Florencia O’Ryan. Admire the movements of highly regarded male dancers such as Juan Aguirre, Israel Moreno, Juan Fernandez and Juanma Zurano. Enjoy the abilities of renowned singers such Alvaro Ramirez, Cristina Tobar and Charo Martín, and leading guitarists Pedro Martin, Idan Balas.

Start time: At 8.15pm, with the performances ending after 11pm. Shows on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday nights.
Languages: English and Spanish.
Restrictions: Minors under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an parent or guardian. Short "palmas" training (optional).
