The most famous sights in Washington DC are the stars of this tour of the US capital. Tour the Capitol Building and visit the White House’s south lawn and visitor centre. Spend time at the Smithsonian Museums, before heading to the World War II and Dr Martin Luther King, Jr. memorials in addition to much more in between.

The US Capitol building is stunningly beautiful. This icon of America, built in a neoclassical style is very grand yet elegant and poised. A visit to the Capitol enables you see the central rotunda located beneath the Capitol dome which is the physical and symbolic heart of the building. Leave the Capitol building behind to take a walk on the south lawn of the home and office of the US President, the White House and call in at the visitor centre located here to learn more about past and present presidents. Afterwards, spend time at the Smithsonian, a behemoth consisting of 9 world-class museums, a zoo plus 9 research centres. Head on to the World War II Memorial to see the tribute to our ""Greatest Generation”. Consisting of 56 pillars and a pair of small triumphal arches surrounding a plaza and fountain, this is a striking memorial. You also stop at the Dr Martin Luther King Junior memorial which pays homage to the famed civil rights activist.
