Come and discover how people lived on a farm in Lanzarote in 1840 at one of the island's largest and oldest agricultural estates. This open air museum is situated in the village of Tiagua, in the very heart of Lanzarote. In this fascinating visit you will learn all about how the cultivation of different crops such as fruit, cereals and tobacco as you stroll around the farm where you can admire the many traditional buildings including windmills and wine presses.

El Patio is still a working farm where wine and goat's cheese are still made in the traditional way. You will have the chance to try some of our excellent produce in a traditional island cantina where you can also buy some to take home. See how traditional Lanzarote crops are grown, including fruit, cereal and tobacco and meet some of the farm animals including camels, goats, chickens and ducks. You will have the chance to see a fascinating audio-visual presentation on the stunning nature of the Island. Then explore the estate for yourself. There is a small museum with fascinating artefacts including household items and agricultrual implements, the farmhouse itself, the wine press and bodega, a chapel, a cactus gardens, stables and two windmills.
