Program details

See all there is to see in the magical and ever wonderful city of Seville, the heart of traditional Spanish culture. This one of a kind tour will take you to see all of the most emblematic monuments in the city and then invites you to admire one of the most important Roman archaeological remains in Andalusia: the Roman city of Italica.

To start your day off, enjoy a panoramic tour of the city’s most important landmarks. Some of the highlights include the magnificent bridges on the Guadalquivir River, which link the city with the Triana neighbourhood and the Cartuja Island. This was the chosen area for the celebration of the 1992 World Exposition, a site filled with history and pride. Here you will be able to admire the masterpiece created by Santiago Calatrava: El Alamillo Bridge.

Your journey then takes you all the way to Santiponce, a small village located on the way to Merida. Here we can find the remains of the Roman city of Italica, a truly astonishing archaeological site. This place used to play an important role in the Romanisation process of Spain; following the conquest of this part of the peninsula, it went on to become the very first Roman settlement in the South of Spain. And that is not the only reason it was important: Italica was also the birthplace of two of the most important Roman emperors in history: Trajan and Adrian.
