Program details

This full day excursion is a great way to discover the northern part of the island of Tenerife, combining sightseeing, shopping and scenery. You'll explore Santa Cruz, the island's lively capital as well as lonely beaches, rugged mountains, lush valleys, hidden fishing villages and verdant forests.

First stop is Santa Cruz, Tenerife's bustling capital where you'll find all the big name brands as well as many excellent boutiques and duty-free shops crammed into the old town’s pedestrianised streets. If you're not up to that then you can always pay a visit to the Museum of Nature and Man with its fascinating archaeological collection including the famous Guanche mummy.

Then it's time to head for the hills, passing through the charming fishing village of San Andres where you'll get views down over the achingly beautiful Las Teresitas beach tucked between the Agana mountains and the Atlantic. We'll continue to climb through misty laurisilva forests and rugged mountains, once the stronghold of witches and pirates before we descend to the remote coastal settlement of Taganana. With its dazzling white sugar cube houses scattered around the lush green mountainside, this small town is one of Tenerife's oldest. Here you'll have time to explore the quaint cobbled streets and have some lunch or our optional picnic before heading back through the mountains to La Laguna and the return to your hotel.
