Delve into the historical home of Edgar Degas, one of the leading artists of the French Impressionist movement who left us countless famous works of art, such as his mesmerising portraits of ballerinas. In this house lived Degas' maternal relatives, renowned cotton brokers in New Orleans. The Degas House is a Historic House Museum, and it is listed on the prestigious National Register of Historic Places.

Join a guided tour of the Degas House exhibition spaces in two separate houses. Your tour guide will be no other than Degas' Great Grand-niece(s). Also included in the tour is a screening of the award winning documentary, Degas in New Orleans, based on the many letters Edgar Degas wrote in New Orleans, and a self-guided 'Timeline of the Life of Degas' that can be found on the gallery walls. This is the perfect chance for you to learn about the life of the painter and his family, renowned characters in New Orleans history, and you will even learn a bit more about the fascinating history of this city.

Duration: Tour only is 2 hours while the tour with breakfast is 3 hours.
