Deep within the prehistoric landscape of the lush Koolau Mountains, this secluded waterfall hike will take you on an adventure into another world, where exotic rainforest plants and animals abound. Spectacular jagged cliffs tower 600 metres (2,000ft) above you, and exotic birds call through the humid forest. On this educational, atmospheric and fun hike, discover the wonders of Hawaii's natural environment, the medicinal uses of the plants, and the area’s interesting environmental history, as well as taking hundreds of photographs!
The pinnacle of your hike is reaching the falls, plunging through dripping ferns over black basalt into the pool below. Marvel at the roar of the falling water and admire the rainbows that form in the spray. Revealing species that can be found nowhere else on earth as well as some of the most spectacular landscapes in the world, you’ll be dumbstruck by the beauty of Hawaii on this waterfall hike.
