Take a look at the beautiful gardens full of trees such as hibiscus, bougainvillea and poinsettia that grow lush. After the visit to the monumental lighthouse, symbol of this city, we cover the Avenida del Mar area in which sophisticated buildings and tourist centres stand out from the rest of the city. We will see the typical maritime-commerce activity of the port during our tour along the Avenida Costanera coastal road and downtown Coquimbo. We finish in La Herradura resort located in the mystic and legendary bay of Guayacán.


Greater La Serena, which includes La Serena and Coquimbo, is one of the fastest-growing areas of Chile and a main tourist destination, especially in the summer, when people come to the beaches. Traditional architecture includes houses and public buildings constructed with pine wood from Oregon. It was originally brought as ballast in ships coming to the port of Coquimbo to load copper and other minerals. This architecture based on pine and adobe has become the image of the city.
