Program details

Dare you come along on this spooky tour of New Orleans, a city referred to as ‘the most haunted city in America’? The stories and urban legends behind some of the uncanny buildings in the area are bound to make you chatter your teeth and go, ‘zoinks!’ All we shall say for now is that throughout history, New Orleans’ colourful homes and taverns have brought countless paranormal investigators to have a sniff around.

On this tour, you are invited to visit various haunted landmarks, where your eloquent guide will rhapsodize the stories behind them – many of which, incidentally, have been featured on The History Channel and The Discovery Channel. For instance, when a heavy rain falls in the French Quarter, many locals swear that they hear a beautiful voice floating out of the mist. If that sends a shiver down your back, wait until you hear the story of Pere Dagobert vs ‘Bloody’ O’Reilly and the ‘singing rain’; perhaps even you will hear the voice.

Furthermore, you will even get the chance to visit the famous Bourbon Orleans Hotel and become acquainted with some of the spirits – no pun intended – that haunt it. This beautiful building was formerly a theatre, a ballroom, an orphanage and a convent before finally becoming a hotel. The staff and visitors often report otherworldly sightings; fancy finding an uninvited guest in your reserved room! The tour doesn’t guarantee you will see a ghost – which is just as well – but it brings you close to them.
