Walk along the famous Pipeline road, and experience one of the most renowned bird watching locations in the world. The Audubon Society counted 525 different species of bird in just one day here back in 1996 and you are sure to be amazed by the diversity of brightly coloured wildlife on show. From blue cotinga to toucans to herons and snail kites, some of the most spectacular birds on the planet can be found in abundance on this tour.


Begin your tour in the visitors center where you can observe up to 14 species of hummingbirds that have been recorded in the strategically placed feeders. Then head onto the trail itself where your experienced local guide will point out all the birds and other creatures that you are sure to encounter. Monkeys, crocodiles, butterflies and lizards all inhabit the forest floor and canopy so be sure to have your camera ready to take fantastic nature pictures.


The trails have been carefully designed to maximize mobility whilst not disturbing the animal’s natural habitat so you will have no trouble getting around the pathways and viewing points. Be sure to take advantage of the raised observation platforms to take in the very best views of the tropical rainforest and its exotic inhabitants.
