Program details
Come and meet some of the friendliest creatures in the planet at Dolphin Explorer in Punta Cana. This action packed day trip departs from Bayahibe and take you to this beautiful tropical environment where you swim and play with dolphins in natural surroundings. There are four programmes offering different levels of interaction.
In the Funtastic programme you’ll be greeted with a dolphin ‘pec shake’ and in no time you will be able experiencing the magical sensation of a dolphin kiss… It allows for 30 minutes or water time with the dolphins in groups of up to 20 people per one dolphin. Children must be at least one year old and, if under eight, accompanied by an adult.
The Sea Explorer programme offers you the opportunity to participate in a unique experience with dolphins. Relax in a comfortable customised dive helmet and breathe freely as you enjoy fun games with these playful creatures. On this programme you enjoy 20 minutes of surface interaction with dolphins.
The third option is the Excellence programme, which allows you to live an adrenalin-fuelled experience that was previously the preserve trainers. It includes 45 minutes or water time with the dolphins for a group of 10 people and two dolphins. Children must be aged 10 or over to take part.
In the Extreme programme you take part in three amazing adventures: swimming with dolphins, playing with cute fur seals and snorkelling with the sharks and sting rays. There’s a maximum of 10 participants and children must be 10 or older (12 for the sharks and stingrays contact).
Meeting/pick-up point: Collection from hotel reception.
Start/opening time: Between 6.50am and 7.25am or between 11.50am and 12.25pm.
End/closing time: Visit ends at either 12.30pm or 5.30pm, arriving back at your hotel some 45 minutes later.
Others: In the Funtastic Program, children must be accompanied by an adult when they are less than one metre tall.
For the Excellence and Explorer program children must be at least one metre tall and be able to swim in order to participate in any animal interaction. The Sea Explorer programme: Minimum 12 years old to participate/ Pregnant women are not allowed to take part in the activity.
