Program details

Head to paradise on earth with a tour through Tayrona National Park. A magical destination in Columbia, it’s intensely blue waters and idyllic beaches are not to be missed. Recommended as one of the 20 Best Trips 2012 in National Geographic, take this tour to Tayrona National Park and you’ll discover why this destination is on everybody’s lips.

Located just 21 miles from Santa Marta, you’ll be transported to paradise in less than an hour. The park covers 12 square miles of maritime area as well as 58 square miles of land; each square mile contains a hugely biodiverse area waiting to be discovered. From arid sea level to 900 metres above sea level, with this tour you’ll see the best of Colombia’s most popular national park in one day. From Cañaveral, the only place accessible by car, we hike to Arrecifes, a magical place where beautiful beaches are abundant. Visit Arenilla bays, where you’ll encounter a natural swimming pool and the Cabo San Juan, one of the most popular spots to have a swim or dip your toes in the sea. Along the way look out for the native animals such as howler monkeys, white eagles, deer and bats and be sure to look out for the equally spectacular panoramic views over the Caribbean Sea. Absorb the colours of its gorgeous picture postcard beaches, shaded by coconut palms and set deep into the bays, and by the end of the day you’re bound to feel relaxed and stress free.
