Program details

Discover a hidden corner of Venice that few tourists ever happen upon. The fascinating district of Dorsoduro is one of Venice’s few remaining hidden treasures; this city has become so popular in recent years that walking through it can give the impression of being in a city-scale attraction park. But one incursion into Dorsoduro will show you the true essence and romantic beauty of this incredible city, as of yet unpolluted by the hustle and the bustle of mass tourism.

Alongside your knowledgeable guide, explore the labyrinthine streets of Dorsoduro and learn all about the incredible stories that hide behind every little landmark. Give your senses a treat, see the sites and hear the tales that make Venice one of the most atmospheric cities in the world even today.

As well as the walking tour on the quieter side of the famous Grand Canal, this tour also invites you to explore the back canals of the city by gondola. Lay back and relax on an unforgettable gondola ride with a real “gondoliere” to bring that traditional touch to your voyage.

Some of the many beautiful sites and landmarks you will admire include the Academy of Fine Arts, de Ponte delle Maravegie (Bridge of Wonders), the Campo san Trovaso, the gondola workshop known as Squero, the Fondamenta degli Incurabili, the wonderful Redentore Church, the beauteous Giudecca Island, Punta della Dogana, the Church of the Madonna della Salute and many more.
