Program details

The catamaran sails west towards the Blest arm of Lake Nahuel Huapi, passing Centinela Island, where the remains of Perito Francisco P. Moreno, creator of National Parks, were laid to rest. An hour later, it arrives at Puerto Cántaros in the midst of the Valdivian rainforest. Walk up a trail of steps to Lake Los Cántaros.

The water from this lake flows downhill creating a beautiful cascade, and lookouts along the trail afford breathtaking views of water falling over the rocks. Back on the boat again, cross to the opposite shore and disembark at Puerto Blest.

If you take the optional trip to Lake Frías, you will continue by bus to Puerto Alegre, just 3 Km away, and then sail over the crystal-clear green waters surrounded by rainforest, with the white peak of Mount Tronador standing out in the background, to Puerto Frías, very near the Chilean frontier. Go ashore for a while to visit the place, and then return the same way to Bariloche.
