Program details

The beautiful landscapes, the layout of the town, its history and the romantic legend: all this makes Ronda one of the most interesting places in Andalusia. With this guided excursion to the city of Ronda and its spectacular Mountain Range, declared Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO in special convertible 4×4 vehicles you will experience the wilderness of the mountains and feel the contact with nature. A spectacular scenery, fairy tale white villages and an enchanted visit to Ronda as you’ve never seen. You will also visit charming white villages and even the smurf village Júzcar, to find the real life in Andalusia and the city of Ronda to discover the rich history and culture of the region. The Jeeps are driven by expert and friendly naturalist guides.

After picking you up at your hotel at the Costa del Sol we will go up into the mountains as quickly as possible. We'll drive in the direction of Ronda, and we see the vegetation change the higher we get. The spectacular views on the way are not to be missed and our specialist guides will help you to interpret the landscape and nature. We might see the impressive Griffon Vulture on our way! As we get to the Ronda Mountain Range we will turn our back to the main road and head towards beautiful 'unspoiled' white villages in the Valley of Rio Genal. We´ll visit a blue village, Juzcar, the Smurf village.

We'll enjoy the most spectacular views, changing throughout the year depending on the season. The Mediterranean light is making a beautiful painting out of the colourful flowers in springtime, the golden Chestnut leafs in autumn. We will have a 3-course Andalusian lunch in a small town, hidden in the Mountains, were we can also learn about the traditional architecture, or even meet with the endangered Spanish Fir: Pinsapo. After lunch we will visit the city of Ronda, the 'Queen' of the White Villages and indeed one of Andalusia's loveliest towns, steeped in history. It stands on a towering plateau in the mountains. It is famous for the plunging river gorge 'El Tajo', hundreds of meters deep; in the middle of the town that divides the medieval town from the 18th-century quarters. So Marvel at the spectacular Gorge, wander around the Old Quarter, see the oldest Bull Ring in Spain, and even get to the foot of the bridge with our 4x4 car! Every corner of this fascinating Andalusian town will enchant you!
