Fuerteventura is famous for its magnificent beaches but you'll see another side to this beautiful island on this full day tour to the island's interior. Learn all about the traditional way of life in sleepy villages where times seems to move at a slower pace. Let yourself be seduced by the rugged charm of the island's dramatic lunar landscapes and then explore the former capital of Betancuria. Travel in comfort in air-conditioned coaches.

After being picked up from your hotel we'll drive deep inland on a journey of discovery. We'll discover secluded villages with dazzlingly whitewashed houses, beautiful old churches and cobbled streets. First of all we'll stop at the charming village of Tiscamanita. We'll visit the Los Molinos museum where you can learn all about traditional majorero handicrafts. You'll also get a chance to try the local staple, gofio. There'll be a quick stop at an aloe vera plantation where you can try some of the cosmetic products made from this amazing cactus, before we drive on to Ajuy where we'll stop for lunch at a traditional restaurant.

Next stop is the picturesque village of Pajara with its lovely church decorated with mysterious carvings, before we move on to the former capital of Betancuria. This small settlement was founded in 1404 and was the main city on the island until the 19th Century. You'll have plenty of time to snap some of the local handicrafts before we board the bus for the drive back to the resort through barren volcanic landscapes A great way to discover the real Fuerteventura.
