Program details

Explore two beautiful cities either side of the Swiss/French border as you take in the highlights of both Geneva and Annecy on this tour. Discover the international part of Geneva, the center of world peacemaking organisations before walking through Geneva’s old town and visiting its famous fountain and flower clock. Then make the short trip across the border to Annecy, often called “The Venice of the Alps”. Its colourful old town on the banks of the river Thiou with its castles, outdoor food markets and exhibitions make Annecy an enchanting and memorable daytrip if you are staying in Geneva.

Walk through Geneva’s beautiful old town as your expert local guide leads you past multicoloured houses and paved streets. Visit the United Nations office before taking in a broader view of Geneva as you glide through the city on the modern mini-train Tramway Tour. Ensure you bring your camera as you will take a boat trip around Lake Geneva’s iconic water jet.

Make the short journey to Annecy and discover one of the prettiest small cities in the whole of France. Built around the river Thiou, Annecy is well known for its rich culture of art and history and its museums, castle and exhibitions attract many visitors each year. Take the opportunity to sample the traditional French cuisine in one of its many fine restaurants and hunt for local produce in the open-air markets before heading back to Geneva.
