Among the thick missionary jungle reliefs from the Reduction of San Ignacio ruins, the remains of a civilization designed by Jesuits and constructed by Guarani hands that stood out for its efficiency nearly 400 years ago. They are a testimony of that effort and for that reason should be cared. The facade of the temple was made entirely with pink sandstone in 1610 and was rebuilt by a group of scientists for the past century with a American Baroque design. The degradation happened because the reduction had been buried in the jungle for nearly two centuries.

Thousands of tourists visit it every year. It is located in the center of San Ignacio town, on 12 route to 60 kilometers from Posadas. The right wall of the temple today looks flawless, since the summer when a group of specialists was grooming it. This was possible because the World Monuments Foundation donated $ 50,000 for that objective, and step by step, all the walls of this monument blink once more. Due to the tropical climate of the region the walls tend to be covered with small microorganisms that decompose it and make them stop shining.
