Program details

Travel into the beating heart of Rome and visit four of the most famous piazzas not just in the city but in the whole world. Explore and admire awe-inspiring St Peter’s Square, the atmospheric Piazza Navona, the elegant Piazza della Rotonda and the spellbiding Piazza di Trevi.

The tour of the fantastic four piazzas begins with a stroll through the magnificent St Peter’s Square, where you will study and observe the basilica from the outside while learning all about its glorious history from the guide. Marvel at Renaissance beauty of the world’s largest Christian church and the arched colonnade that almost encircles the Square.

Continue to the popular Piazza Navona, which is one of the city’s top locations for socialising. See locals and visitors alike enjoy la dolce vita in this atmospheric square, which sits where an ancient Roman stadium stood. Admire the stunning Church of Sant'Agnese in Agone, behold the Agonalis obelisk atop the Fountain of the Four Rivers, the dreamlike Fountain of Neptune and much more, including neo-classical palaces.

Head to the Piazza della Rotonda and visit the legendary Pantheon, which has stood in the same spot for two millennia. Originally built as a temple to all the Roman gods, it has been a Catholic church since the seventh century and the dome remains a marvel of engineering. This square also boasts a fountain with an obelisk.

Cap off a magical tour at the baroque Piazza di Trevi, which is where the famous fountain is located. Throw a coin into the water and your wish of returning to Rome should come true!
