Join us for the sailing experience of a lifetime and see New York's skyline lit up like you've never seen it before! The city lights sail aboard the classic tall ship, Clipper City is not to be missed.
Witness the Statue of Liberty, Brooklyn Bridge, and Ellis Island with the moon and cityscape reflected on the water. You can sit back and relax or help us raise the sails and take a turn at the helm! Order a drink from our full bar on deck as we set sail, drop canvas, cut the engines and ply the harbour like they did more than a century ago.
Few people ever have the chance to sail aboard a tall ship. The topsail schooner Clipper City allows you to do just that. An imposing 158-ft. long, with masts and rigging reaching up 120 feet from the deck, New York’s largest and most elegant sailing vessel can accommodate up to 150 passengers.
A replica of the lumber-hauling schooners that drove America’s industry more than a century ago, Clipper City was built in the mid-1980s using plans purchased from the Smithsonian. Her decks are spacious and comfortable, with ample seating, a full bar and a raised quarter deck back aft that allows for unparalleled views of the city and its harbour.
Enjoy a change in pace and a reprieve from the busy city streets. Soak up the ambience of water lapping at the bow and the peaceful unfurling of sails. This is the perfect way to spend a beautiful evening in the city.
