Program details

Discover many treasures on this tour of Montmartre and the Louvre. Find the delightful village on top of the hill of Montmartre crowned by the white Sacred Heart Basilica, such a familiar sight. Towards the end of the 19th century, artists such as Van Gogh, Renoir and Picasso settled here with their families to enjoy the simple and peaceful country life.

The Louvre Museum, itself a work of art and a historic Monument, was built in the late 12th century, and began life as a fortress. Today it guards some of the worlds’ most treasured art and antiquities.

Be skill-fully guided through the main exhibition rooms of the Louvre and stand in awe before the skill of the masters as you take in three famous pieces of art in the Louvre Museum: The Venus de Milo, the Winged Victory and the ultimate prize, Leonardo De Vinci's Mona Lisa. This is a wonderful opportunity to not only see these masterpieces for yourself but also to appreciate them on a deeper level as your knowledgeable guide expounds on them.

The excursion includes a ride up to Montmartre, a guided walking tour of the village and the artists square, the Place du Tertre. Enjoy some free time to visit on your own of the Sacred Heart basilica.
