Program details

Discover the legacy of Antoni Gaudí, Barcelona’s favourite son, on this guided tour of his most famous landmarks. Pass the beautiful modernist facades of la Pedrera and Casa Batllo as you make your way down Passeig de Gràcia to to his undoubted masterpiece, the unfinished La Sagrada Familia. Discover the fascinating history behind this unique structure as you skip the line and are lead on a guided tour of the church’s exterior and interior, learning how Gaudí took over the project but tragically died in the middle of construction that has still not been completed.

Begin your tour at Plaza Catalunya where you will take a bus tour of some Gaudí’s most iconic designs. Make your way up the elegant, upmarket Passeig de Gràcia lined with designer shops, major banks and most importantly, Casa Battlò and Casa Milà, two exceptional city centre Gaudí structures. Admire the flowing and undulating facades of these striking city houses that have been owned over the years by some of the city’s most wealthy residents.

Then arrive at the highlight of the tour, La Sagrada Familia, the unique and iconic basilica that Gaudí commenced in 1883 and to which he dedicated the last years of his life until his untimely death in 1926. Marvel at the towering modernist spires of its exterior and then skip the line as you head inside to admire the pillars, columns and stained glass windows of the interior. Your guide will explain the building’s rich history and detail the future plans for the church, including the vision of finally finishing Gaudí’s masterpiece before the centenary of his death.
