Enjoy a day lounging in the sun and wallowing in the waves with this exciting excursion to Maitencillo, Cachagua and Zapallar. These summer beach resorts have many surprises in stock as well as some truly paradisiacal sandy beaches; the perfect tour for those who love surf and sun.
Leave the hustle and bustle of Valparaiso behind and travel north along the coastal road. Enjoy the breath-taking views that roll past your window as you reach Maitencillo.
Once at the resort, begin your day of adventure by visiting a seagull reserve. But that is only for starters; throughout the day you will encounter a wide array of marine life. Later on you are invited to spend a leisurely time relishing the beach. Don’t miss out visiting its colourful and lively handicraft market, where you will find locals bartering for the best prices.
Continue then to the northern town of Cachagua, yet another beach resort only with rural features. Mosey along to a viewpoint to see the Natural Sanctuary of Cachagua – you might even see penguins waddling between the rocks!
The last stop is Zapallar, one of the oldest and most exclusive summer beach resorts in Chile. Dating back to 1893, it conserves all of its turn of the century Mediterranean elegance.
