Program details

Reach the four corners of Granada with this intriguing audioguide tour that allows you to explore the city through four tailored routes. With the aid of a handy map, you can follow the trails and explore Moorish, Jewish and Christian Granada at your own pace while listening to informative commentary about its history and heritage.

The audioguide has more than five hours of narration and is valid for 48 hours. There are commentaries for four fascinating routes: Muslim; 17th century; Landscape; and Baroque.

The Muslim Route covers the Alhambra and its environs, and gives you the lowdown on this breathtaking complex, which features a number of palaces and gardens hemmed in by ancient walls. The views from this hill overlooking the city are stunning.

The 17th century Route focuses on the city centre and Realejo district, which was where the city’s sizable Jewish community lived until the Christians captured Granada in 1492. Its labyrinthine alleys of white walls with copious vegetation are the essence of old Granada.

The Landscape Route takes in the Albaicin and the Sacromonte barrios. The Albaicin was the Muslim quarter and is a maze of cobbled lanes that occasionally open onto plazas boasting romantic views of the Alhambra and the Sierra Nevada. Sacromonte is famed for its cave dwellings, traditionally inhabited by gypsies.

The Baroque Route centres on the medieval streets of old town, where the cathedral – an eclectic mix of Gothic, Renaissance and baroque styles – and markets are to be found.
