Now you can experience the unique history and beauty of Philadelphia from an authentic London-style double-decker bus, provided by Philadelphia Trolley Works, climb aboard the Double Decker Big Bus and enjoy the history, cultural attractions, dining and shopping along the route. These open-top tours of the city offer the most spectacular views and entertaining live commentaries from fully-trained and friendly guides. See the steps that Rocky climbed, enjoy an authentic cheese steak or Philadelphia Soft Pretzel, celebrate Ben Franklin’s 309th birthday, retrace the steps of our founding fathers, visit America’s first Zoo or Shop along South Street.



THE SEGWAY TOUR:


With Philadelphia Segway Tours, your guide will help you explore the city of Philadelphia in a completely different and fun way. On the three-hour Full City Tour, offered every morning at 9:30 a.m., guests see 30 popular attractions, including the Liberty Bell, Independence Hall, Schuylkill River, Chinatown, Boathouse Row and Love Park. And the Philly Ghost Tour, available in October and by request, allows riders to explore stories of witches, treachery and murder in the birthplace of America at the Betsy Ross House, St. Peter’s Church and it’s spooky cemetery, the house where Edgar Allan Poe lived and much more.



PHILLY BY NIGHT:


Want a taste of Historic Philadelphia under a starry night sky? The Philly By Night tour as an extension of the Big Bus tour from Philadelphia Trolley Works takes off nightly for a city-wide tour of Philadelphia’s most notable attractions. This evening tour gives you a different perspective of Philadelphia at night, with all the attractions lit up under a starry night sky. This hour and a half tour is not hop-on hop-off but we do give you the opportunity to climb the Rocky Steps at the Art Museum and take a picture of Philadelphia’s at night time skyline. Each tour is fully narrated by a friendly and knowledgeable Philadelphia tour guide.



Sites include: Penn’s Landing, South Street, Liberty Bell, Independence Hall, Chinatown, Avenue of the Arts, Ben Franklin Parkway & Philadelphia Museum of Art.



Meeting/pick-up point: Big Bus: you can hop-on and hop-off at any of the 21 stops. First stop is the Northeast Corner of 5th & Market Streets. Segway tour: Departs from the Philly Tour hub, 229 Arch St. Philadelphia, PA 19106.

Duration: Big bus: The round-trip takes approximately 90 minutes. Segway tour: Approximately 1 Hour (plus 30 minutes registration & training). Philly by night: One hour and a half.

Start/opening time: Big bus: 9.30am, 7 days per week. Segway Tour: 10am, 12.30pm, 3pm & 5.30pm approximately, 7 days a week. Phil by night: Operates seasonally from May – October, departs every evening at 8:00pm from Philadelphia Marriott Downtown (12th and Filbert Streets.

End/closing time: Big Bus: 5.30pm or 6.00pm approximately depending on season.
