HIGHLIGHTS:

* Road trip along the Ruta de los Cenotes to the town of Leona Vicario

* Visit a local school and a wooden handcraft factory

* Make your own Mexican meal with a local family

As we drive out of Mexico City, we will head towards the breathtaking landscapes of the Ruta de los Cenotes until we reach the quaint, little town of Leona Vicario. Here we will learn about its religion with a visit to the local church.

Then the next part of the tour begins. You will hop onto a traditional rickshaw called Tricitaxi that will drive you to a series of fun destinations. The first is a school, where you will see the students studying and playing, and the next is a wooden handcraft factory. Here you will see how a log can be turned into a vase or an ashtray in the blink of an eye. Afterwards we will visit the local cemetery to learn more about the Mexican’s fearless and colourful approach to death. Lastly, you will cook your own Mexican meal with a local resident.

After leaving Leona Vicario, we can either visit the fishing town of Puerto Morelos or Crococun, a sanctuary for crocodiles and other animals. Join us and discover the real essence of Mexico.
