A half-day private tour sight-seeing some of Bodrum’s attractions, including the amphitheatre, Myndos Gate, the Crusader Castle and the photogenic windmills which stand on the hilltops between Bodrum and Gumbet. The tour begins with a visit to the amphitheatre for a photo stop. Accredited to the reign of King Mausolus, the amphitheatre was enlarged during the 2nd century AD. From here the tour moves on to the Myndos Gate which was built during the reign of Mausolus and was the scene of a great battle during the siege by Alexander the Great.

The tour begins with a visit to the amphitheatre for a photo stop. Accredited to the reign of King Mausolus, the amphitheatre was enlarged during the 2nd century AD. Following this the tour visits some windmills dating from the 18th century which were in use right up until the 1970s. Great views over the Bay of Bodrum can be enjoyed from this spot including a panoramic view of St Peter’s Castle which the tour drives to next. Built by the Knights of St John between 1402 and 1409, the castle has a prominent position in Bodrum’s Bay. Here free time is given to explore the castle and the museum of underwater archaeology within it’s’ grounds. After an hour and a half, the tour joins the bus to return to the hotel.
