Start with a walk to stretch your legs in the tranquil and beautiful City Park which is home to Széchenyi Spa and Vajdahunyad Castle. At the edge of the park lies Heroes’ Square, grand and imposing and marking the beginning of the magnificent Andrássy Avenue. Tree-lined and dripping with opulent luxury the avenue is home to the famous and ornate National Opera House.



Driving on through the beautiful downtown area, you will reach the Synagogue of Dohány Street, the largest synagogue in Europe which also marks the border of the Budapest Ghetto. Afterwards, head to Saint Stephen's Basilica and to the Parliament. The Parliament building is iconic and often symbolic of the city.



Crossing over the bridge to the western or Buda side of the city, explore the castle district on foot including Matthias Church and the Fisherman's Bastion. Admire the vistas at Gellért Hill where from atop the hill at the Citadel you can take in the panoramic views of the stunning city unrivalled by any other location.
