A transportation service will pick you up from your hotel and will make a brief tour of the attractions of Trujillo City. As an important city during the Spanish colonial times, Trujillo still keeps beautiful buildings and mansions. You will take a scenic tour to the Santa Clara and El Carmen Churches and their cloistered convents, and to Saint Francis' Church.



You will then visit the La Merced Church and the High Court of Justice. You will continue your tour to the Main Square and the Cathedral, built between 1647 and 1666, which houses late baroque altarpieces and paintings from the Cusco and Quito art schools You will also visit the Archbishop's Palace and the Calonge House, a colonial house built after the 1619 earthquake, which served as accommodation for Simón Bolívar, the Liberator.



You will then visit the Emancipation House, which is the current seat of Banco Continental, and then the Iturregui Palace, built in 1842. You will visit the El Recreo Small Square and Trujillo City's Ancient Wall, before going to the Archaeology and History Museum of Universidad Nacional de Trujillo, where you will find objects from the different cultures that developed in the area of La Libertad. You will be transferred back to your hotel at the end of the tour.
