Program details

The neighborhood Las Peñas has become a source of inspiration for painters and sculptors, who also choose it to display their creations, we will find the old and restored building where 145 years ago the French musician Antonio Neumane was inspired to compose the music of the National Anthem from Ecuador. The house nestled in the historical Las Peñas, which preserves the architecture of this port city where she was born, is now restored and converted into a gallery thanks to the work of local and national authorities to rescue the cultural heritage of the city. In this gallery visitors will find crafts, handicrafts made of wood, ceramic, tagua, leather, coconut and other natural materials, as well as clothing with indigenous models and figures of the legendary painter Oswaldo Guayasamin and appreciated Montecristi hats.
