Program details

After being picked up from your hotel we’ll drive through the lush Dominican countryside, past sugar cane fields and tropical fruit plantations. On the way we’ll make a stop at the Altos de Chavon. This reproduction of a medieval European village was built in the 1970s by a Hollywood set designer. You’ll find excellent restaurants, quirky shops selling local crafts as well as the extravagant homes of the rich and famous.

At the charming port of La Romana we’ll board a catamaran and set sail for Catalina Island. We’ll stop for some snorkelling along the way at some of the Caribbean’s best diving sites, renowned for their pristine waters, teeming with schools of brightly coloured tropical fish and well-conserved coral reefs.

Once on the island, you’ll have plenty of time to explore or just relax on the beautiful white sandy beaches. Savour a delicious lunch Dominican style, local drinks and plenty of snacks served to keep you going.

If you’re looking for something more strenuous you’ll love the thrills and spills of a ride on a banana boat, or on the Mega Wing. Then try not move your body as a traditional Dominican Carnival show finishes a perfect day with vibrant music, sensuous dance and colourful costumes.
