Program details

Depart from Geneva and enjoy a leisurely drive across the Swiss-French border. Delve into the beautiful Arve Valley towards Chamonix, located at the foot of the looming Mont Blanc. At 4,800 metres above sea level, this majestic mountain is the single highest peak both in the Alps and in Western Europe.

Continue then to Aiguille du Midi, a rocky peak that neighbours Mont Blanc. This wonderful mountain has a magical atmosphere for it is covered with snow all year round. It offers a spectacular vantage point of the Chamonix Valley and the Alps. On a clear day, you can even see the famous Swiss peak Matterhorn.

To wrap up your experience, hop onto the quaint red train cars of the scenic rack railway. These rickety vehicles, that have transported people through the hills since 1908, take you to Montenvers. At this site you have the very best views of the Mer de Glace, an astounding glacier that is seven kilometres long. Contemplate the way the light plays of the slippery surface of the ice and fall for the charms of nature.
