Program details

The Kingdom of Swaziland, officially renamed in 2018 to Kingdom of Eswatini, is a land offering a unique taste of Africa. Despite being the smallest country in the Southern hemisphere, is one of the largest in its cultural diversity.

As one of the few remaining Executive Monarchies in Africa, culture and heritage are deeply engrained in all aspects of Swazi life, ensuring an unforgettable experience for all who visit. As well as the rich culture, the overwhelming friendliness of the people makes all visitors feel truly welcome and very safe. Add to that, stunning landscapes of mountains and valleys, forests and plains, plus wildlife reserves across the country that are home to The Big Five, and you have all that’s best about Africa in one small but perfectly formed and welcoming country.

The Guide will pick you up at 05.30 am, at your hotel in Maputo and you will have a light breakfast that you can enjoy while following the journey towards the border post where your guide will assist you in the transition process.

The destination will be Ezulwini Valley and the Mantenga Cultural Village, where you might assist to a local dance performed by the local people. You will also have the chance to visit a Swazi typical homestead. You will then visit Mantenga waterfalls, as well as the Craf Center and the Candle Factory.

After having lunch in the House on Fire, you can take a walk along its gardens, a great opportunity to see some interesting bird species. The guide will then take you back to your accommodation in Maputo, where the expected time of arrival is 6.00 pm .
