Program details

Experience the Mexican Riviera in the spectacular resort and port of Manzanillo. You’ll discover miles of sun-kissed beaches, a laid-back atmosphere, fascinating history and authentic Mexican culture on this half-day tour. You can then shop till you drop in the recently developed downtown area with an endless choice of tempting boutiques.

Leaving your hotel we will drive you to the top of the breathtaking Santiago Peninsula. This rocky headland boasts wonderful views of Manzanillo’s famous twin bays and is home to the city’s most glamorous properties and hotels. Manzanilla plays host to a tempting choice of pristine beaches. As your tour continues, we will stop at Miramar beach situated along Santiago bay and visit the lively market. Spend some time exploring the brightly coloured stalls, admire locally handcrafted goods, jewellery and regional food and maybe choose to pick up that perfect souvenir.

We then make our way to the stunning downtown area and the port of Manzanillo, Mexico’s most important commercial port. On the way we will pass by el Espirito Santo Malecón, named after the ship ‘Espiritu Santo’ whose captain Alvaro Saavedra Cerón explored Manzanillo Bay for the very first time back in 1527. The town has undergone something of a rebirth in recent times with a newly developed town centre and port area that still retains its authentic charm. Take a leisurely wander through the narrow sun-dappled streets flanked by beautiful colonial-style houses and swaying palm trees as we lead you towards the city’s town centre. Here the main square of downtown Manzanillo is dominated by a giant turquoise sailfish sculpture, symbol of Manzanillo. Here you will have plenty of time to take pictures and go shopping before we accompany you back to your hotel.
