Our first stop will be Santiago Tuxtla, where we will go on a guided tour of this important Olmec archaeological site – do not miss the enormous heads carved from single blocks of volcanic basalt.

We will also make a brief stop at the world renowned Te Amo cigar factory, where you can see the cigars being rolled. Then we’ll drive on to San Andrés, where you'll be able to admire what is said to be one of the most beautiful waterfalls in the world, the Salto de Eyipantla.

Then it will be on to Catemaco, a charming lakeside settlement, where we'll board a boat that will a take us to Islas de los Monos, famous for its colony of macaque monkeys originally imported from South East Asia. Our last stop will be Nanciyaga Nature Reserve, a tropical rainforest notable for its diversity of plants and animals. Here, we will visit a natural spring where you can go for a swim and try a traditional mud bath before returning to the resort where we will arrive at about 8pm.
