The Gettysburg Deluxe Day Tour gives you a glimpse into the Civil War Era, providing a history lesson on the events that took place during the three-day battle which occurred in July 1863. Often described as the turning point in the Civil War, the Battle of Gettysburg resulted in the largest number of casualties of the entire Civil War.

Your adventure begins when we depart the Nation's Capital towards Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. While en-route, your driver/guide will provide you with some historical facts on the Civil War Era and the Battle of Gettysburg along with showing you an informative video. Once you have arrived in Gettysburg, your first stop will be to the Shriver House Museum, where you will travel back in time as you walk through the Shrivers' meticulously restored 1860 home and learn about the civilian side of the Battle of Gettysburg. From here we will head to General Pickett's Restaurant for a buffet lunch, included in the tour, a popular establishment in the region with its Civil War theme.

After lunch, we are off to explore the Gettysburg National Military Park Museum & Visitor Center, which provides exclusive resources and experiences to introduce you to the Battle of Gettysburg and prepare you for the upcoming tour of the Battlefield. After experiencing the film "A New Birth of Freedom" and viewing the Gettysburg Cyclorama, you will return to your luxury motorcoach for a 2-hour tour through the Battlefield conducted by a Licensed Battlefield Guide. Make sure to keep your eyes open as you might discover musket balls from the battle, as this 2-hour tour will include stops where you will step onto the hallowed grounds at some of the Battlefield's most iconic locations. Once completed, we will start our return journey back to the Nation's Capital.
