Program details

The SEA LIFE Timmendorfer Strand, which opened over 20 years ago as the first SEA LIFE aquarium in Germany, is located directly next to the picturesque beaches of the Baltic Sea. Visitors of all ages can expect more than 2,500 sea creatures in 12 themed underwater worlds from the depths of the Baltic Sea to the exciting rainforest.

The journey, which leads through a spectacular glass tunnel among other things, invites all curious sea explorers into the breathtaking depths of the ocean – without getting wet. From the North and Baltic Seas to the beautiful coasts of Europe and into the tropical ocean: only a fin's length away visitors can marvel at majestic blacktip reef sharks or the impressive green sea turtle and find themselves face to face with impressive rays. But also very small animals such as the colorful clown fish, cute seahorses, and other dazzling sea creatures can be admired here.

Walk across the soft, muddy ground of the forest, face a boa constrictor or stick your head into the piranha pool – in the Rainforest Adventure area, the exciting jungle, and its inhabitants can be experienced as close as never before. Here visitors not only get to know the exotic inhabitants of the jungle better but also learn lots of exciting facts about the biodiversity of the ecosystem rainforest and how to save it.

Further highlights are the daily feedings, which often get wild. What is the sea turtle's favorite food and what do sharks prefer to eat? During the exciting feeding shows, our aquarists reveal lots of funny stories and exciting background information about our marine life and its habitats.
