Program details

Don’t you believe that Paradise exists? Well, you are wrong! Chrissi Island is situated 8 miles off the south-east coast of Crete, in the Libyan Sea. An hour’s cruise from Ierapetra, one of the most southerly point in Europe, will deliver you to Paradise on Earth...This amazing island is in fact a huge sand hill, one third of which is covered with a Juniperous forest, protected under Greek and European laws as a preserve for these rare trees. Only in the Caribbean will you find waters like those of the two beaches of Chrissi Island.

The unbelievably clear turquoise waters will entice you in for a dip and, believe us, you won’t want to get out. If you’re after a glowing, golden suntan, this is the perfect place to get it! You will have several hours for swimming, snorkelling and sunbathing and if all that is too much for you, why not head inland and explore the several forest trails and be your very own Robinson Crusoe for a while? No hero can go without food, however, and there is one small taverna on the island where you can enjoy lunch and a drink.

Alternatively, you may bring along your own picnic and relax under the shade of the trees. What a hard life it is to be on the beach! Later, relax and enjoy a cold beer or a chilled glass of wine on the boat while marvelling at the scenery and cherishing lovely memories of a wonderful day on your return cruise on the Libyan Sea. What to bring: Swimming and snorkelling gear, money for food and drinks, camera, sun cream and hat, water (ice cold bottles available on board the boat). Word of advice: Rental of sun beds and umbrella can be pricey on the Island. You may wish to bring your own sun-umbrella.
