Program details

Explore the colorful, UNESCO-listed city of Willemstad on a comprehensive tour through the city's historic streets. See the floating Queen Emma Bridge, a Blue Curacao distillery, and the architecture in the Scharloo Jewish neighborhood. Top it off with a visit to an aquarium that features animal shows.

Meet your professional tour guide in the lobby of your hotel and get on an air-conditioned bus for a ride through town. Witness Willemstad's well-maintained Dutch colonial architecture as you pass richly painted buildings scattered throughout the city-wide UNESCO World Heritage site. Stop by St. Anna Bay to see where the 4 quarters of the city meet. Walk across the Queen Emma Bridge, visit the floating market, and try some of the island's legendary blue liqueur. The Scharloo Jewish Quarter is the perfect place to take in the blend of cultures that have expressed themselves in the area's diverse architecture.

After seeing the city, take a look under the water at the Curacao Sea Aquarium. Watch dolphins burst out of the water and do acrobatic tricks, get up close to a mustachioed sea lion, and feed some friendly sharks. You can go underwater without getting wet at the submarine observatory and watch tropical fish, turtles, and stingrays swimming about. Once you've seen the city from land and sea, it's time to return to your hotel.
