As you drive away from the port in your in own private vehicle, feast your eyes on the bay of Villefranche. The blue water, contrasted by the sharp cliffs of the French Riviera will not be forgotten, especially with a visit to the medieval village of Eze. Located 1200 feet above the sea, the town is a perfect place to take in the views of the Mediterranean. We recommend walking to the top of the village to a picturesque garden for some of the best views in the village.
After having visited the quaint town of Eze, you will move on to the bustling land of the rich and famous, Monaco! Explore the old city of Monaco and the palace and cathedral where Prince Rainier and Princess Grace were married. Schedule permitting, experience the changing of the guards at the Royal Palace.
From royalty to racing, Monaco has it all. Drive one lap of the world-renowned Formula 1 Grand Prix circuit on your way to Monte Carlo. Here, take in the grandeur of the city’s famous casino, the Golden Square, and the elegant Hotel de Paris and Hotel Hermitage. Maybe even try your hand in the casino before moving to the town of Provence.
Arrive in Saint-Paul de Vence, and feel as though you have stepped back in time. This famous medieval village is steeped in history, as is evident by walking along the town’s main street dotted with art galleries and boutiques.
The last stop of the day will be the enchanting Nice. Driving along the "Promenade des Anglais" you will be in awe at the crystal blue water. Arriving in the Old Town, dating back to the 13th century, get lost in the narrow streets and cafes of Nice, and perhaps even enjoy a homemade crepe or macaron.
From Nice, you will head back the port to meet your cruise ship in time for the scheduled departure!
