Explore Madaba, Mount Nebo, and the baptism site in this private 1-day tour which will take you on an extensive trip visiting some of Jordan’s highlights. Start the morning with a pickup from your hotel in Amman and travel towards Madaba which dates back to the middle of the Bronze period and is famously known for its Byzantine and Umayyad mosaics. Marvel at the mosaics, artifacts and archeological wonders showcased at Madaba. Continue onto Mount Nebo, the site believed to be where Moses saw the Promised Land. Once atop the summit of Mount Nebo take in the view overlooking to the West Bank, Israel, Jericho and the valley of the Jordan River in the distance. Travel towards the lowest point on earth to visit The baptismal site of Jesus Christ (Bethany beyond Jordan). John the Baptist (pbuh) prepared the way for the arrival of the Messiah, and John's ministry itself marked the beginning of the preaching of "the gospel of the Kingdom of God" (Luke 16:16). Some of the pivotal events in John's life and his heralding of the coming of Jesus took place in Jordan.
