Learn about the 15th century basilica St. Laurenskerk, the first stone building in the city, converted to protestantism with religious revolution of the 16th century, heavily damaged during the Blitzkrieg and restored until 1968. Awe at the Kubuswoningen (cube houses), created by the architect Piet Blom, as modern space optimizing houses that represent a village inside the city. Next to the canal take a look at the modernist skyscraper called Witte Huis (White House), the tallest european building in the 19th century that has also survived the blitz.
